The Ship's Company welcomed HMS Ferret's Senior Officer, Commander C Tyrrell Royal Naval Reserve as guest of honour.  Commander Tyrrell joined over 100 other guests from across the region to celebrate our cadets achievement s in the last 12 months.  

HMS Ferret is a Royal Naval Reseve Unit based at DISC Chicksands.

Remembrance Sunday - November 2012

25 Sea Cadets and 11 Junior Sea Cadets took part in both Flitwick & Ampthill Remembrance Sunday Parades.  This was one of the largest turnouts in a number of year for Flitwick & Ampthill Sea Cadets.  Also we were honoured to have been joined by former Sea Cadet, Lieutenant Emma Rushton Royal Navy.

Petty officer Cadet A Nye and Able Cadet Ben Lugg joined the Sea Cadets Flag Ship, Training Ship Royalist for a 1 week voyage.  Both thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity working with 24 other young people from around the UK, living, working, sleeping and eating in very confined spaces.  This trip was partly sponsored by Eastern Area Sea Cadets.

22 Cadets represented the Unit at the District Football Competition.  Results as follws;

Junior Sea Cadets - 3rd Place

National Combined Regatta - September 2012

National Combined Regatta - September 2012

4 Cadets represented the Eastern Area Sea Cadets at the National Combined Regatta held at the Excel Centre in London's Docklands.

Ordinary Cadets A Cross and L Bryant competed in the Junior Girls Kayaking Competition and placed 5th.

Ordinary cadet B Dunham and Cadet L Upton competed in the Sailing Boathandling Competition and placed 2nd.

Great result and well done.
