Well done to the pipers who competed for the first time against cadets with a lot more experience than themselves in a very tough category
Their third position was a credit to them.

One of our successful fund raising requests involved the local Police force.
They hold on a regular basis an Auction of goods retained from recent thefts or lost property.
The proceeds of these are distributed to local charitable organisations.
We were fortunate to receive a donation of £500 towards the purchase of our second Trinity 500.
On Tuesday 14th February 2012 the local police paid a visit to view the boat we will be obtaining and to present a cheque for their donation.
We were able to enter 3 teams into this year’s event, Senior Boys, Junior Boys and Junior Girls although each was limited to 4 rather than 5 players.
Although none of the teams were successful in the league they did extremely well against stronger teams.
Well done to those who took part and to the team trainers and supporters.
On the last parade night for 2011 the Unit provided a full Christmas dinner for all of the units cadets.
As protocol required the uniformed members of Staff acted as waiters for the evening and served the meal to those attending.
Many thanks go to the P&SA members and helpers who provided and cooked the meal.
They also provided a buffet for the Staff, UMC and P&SA committee members and parents following the cessation of the cadets evening.
On Sunday 4th December Cadets from the Unit acted as Marshals at a British Heart Foundation (BHF) arranged a Sponsored Santa Jog around Brueton Park in Solihull.
Members of the Public took part as did some of our Cadets and the sponsorship raised should help the BHF with its work.
Well done to all who took part and to the organisers of the event.
