The annual Junior Regatta took place at Powell’s Pool Sutton Coldfield on Saturday.

Shirley Sea Cadets entered the Warwickshire District Sailing regatta on Sunday 7th July at Shustoke Reservoir, competing against 9 other units from the surrounding area and came away with a 1st in the Open Pico Class race.
The day consisted of 4 races for each contestant and their best 3 results make up their overall score, Tom Gahan's being two 1st and a 2nd.
Shirley Unit now go forward to Portsmouth to the South West area finals in August where he will represent Warwickshire District.

Team Shirley, what an amazing weekend! I wanted to say a massive thanks to all the cadets and adults that competed and helped to make the regatta run so smoothly. What a result finishing joint 4th overall in the district
On the above date some of the Units current Junior Cadets went for a paddle with the help and assistance of the Solihull Canoe Club.
Many thanks go to the Canoe club members who gave up their time to enable our Cadets to spend time on the water.
