Cadets from across the West Kent District spent a weekend learning Campcraft skills.
Cadets learnt about the types of tents, types of stove and how to pack an exped rucksack. They put their new skills in to practice, putting up their tents and cooking their own meals on a stove.
They then went out on a hike to put their new map reading skills into practice.

This event was run by SeaCadets and The Duke of Edinburgh's Award and enableled His Royal Highness to see young people complete elements of their Diamond Challenge.
More than 60 Sea cadets from across the country took part. During the Challenge cadets rowed 75 miles the equivalent distance from Salisbury to Windsor. The Earl of Wessex joined cadets on both the rowing machines and in a trinty out on the water.
St Georges day 2016
Cadets and juniors joined other organisations and businesses for a St Georges day event in Sittingboure High street.
The Cadets put on a band, piping and drill display as well as running a Hook the Duck Game and Name the Teddy to raise funds for the unit.
They also kept busy handing out postcards and even found the time to take part in the tug of war competition (which the rain, followed bu hail put a stop too)
