The cadets Juniors had lots of fun on the Junior Naval Acquaint course.
They have been for a tour of the ropey, had a tour of HM submarine Ocelot.
They stayed overnight on HMS Caviller and learnt lots of new skills in seamanship, Piping and Drill.

Well done the 4 who took Sittingbourne cadets that took part in the District Cadet Skills challenge this weekend on HMS Cavalier. We were the youngest team of just cadets while other teams were able to enter teams of cadets, cfc, Oc’s and Ac’s but you didn’t let this hold you back.
The Scores were really close with only 20 points of so between the winning team and us.
I was impressed with your AT and corps knowledge. I hope you all enjoyed the few days and learnt something new too.
6 Cadets spent the weekend at the unit completing the Basic Marine Engineering course, they have the assessment in a few weeks time.
Well done to all those who took part in the District Drill and Piping Competition today.
Colour Party came 3rd
Piping team came 2nd
(Rifle drill is used in the Sea Cadets to teach Cadets team work, commitment and self discipline. The rifles used are for parade purpose only)
On February 15th Cadets took part in a Divisional Competition. Each division was given a bag containing everything they needed to complete the tasks. (both bags were exactly the same) Cadets were given 20mins to complete as many task as they could. Some tasks needed teamwork, some Sea Cadet knowledge and some needed the cadet’s imagination.
Well done to Port Division who were the winners.
