Forest School

A few juniors had fun over a couple of weekends when they were invited to take part in the British Wildlife's trust  Forest school.

Juniors enjoyed activities such as  making shelters, natural pencils and jewellery and climbing the trees. 

The juniors had a great time and were able to put some of their Sea cadet skills to practice, including knot tying and teamwork

 

  

  

   

Remembrance Parade

Cadets, Juniors and staff all showed their respects by taking part in the towns Remembrance Parade and service

   

Poppy Selling

    

The cadets and juniors spend Saturday Morning selling poppy's on behalf of the Royal British legion.

Despite the rain and cold weather there were still smiles all round. 

On the Sunday the unit paraded in the towns Remembrance parade.

    

 

  

Halloween

    

The Senior cadets planned a Halloween recreational evening for the cadets.

The cadets planned some fun Halloween themed games, including apple bobbing, hunt the spider and eye ball and spoon races.

The senior cadets decorated the unit before the cadets arrived. 

The event was very well organised and all the cadets had fun. 

Kent & Medway Road Safety experience

      

Fantastic evening with Dartford and Crayford Sea Cadets and Sea Cadets Gravesend at the Kent & Medway Road Safety Experience. Cadets and staff learnt about road safety, had a go at investigating an accident, looked at the effects of drink and drug driving and had a go at wearing the drink and drug goggles.
