Chill Factore- 03/03/2017

For our February social trip, we took our cadets to the Chill Factore for an evening of snowboarding and tobogganing!

Once there our cadets had a choice of activities; the first group spent their time doing an introductory snowboarding lesson, where they were taught the fundamentals of setting up their board as well as sliding down the slope and doing some basic turns - by the end of the evening they were all a bit more soggy than when they'd started but happy that they'd learned a new skill. The other group took to the snow park to see who could go fastest in the snow tubes and toboggans, and despite a few crashes they had a great time.

National Football Competition- 26/02/2017

The senior boys had won both the district and area football competitions and had the head off to Lincoln to represent the whole area at a national level.

After a hard day footballing, the cadets came in an impressive 4th, and we couldn't be more proud of them and how far they got in the competition- the first time the football team has reached national level in over 10 years! Well done boys!

Clip n Climb Chester- 28/01/2017

It was a dark and eery Friday night, all the cadets were on their way to Clip n Climb, and for some, they were about to face one of their darkest fears: heights.

After being in cadets for a gruelling month, (haven being off for 3 weeks for Christmas) the cadets were going on their monthly reward trip. They all got stuck in, climbing and often falling on the walls and some of them even dared the dreaded 'leap of faith'.  Overall, it was a great night and all the cadets (and staff) enjoyed it, and all want to return again soon.
