Annual Awards Evening- 15/12/2016

At the end of every year, we have our awards evening, in which all the cadets' parents are invited to come and watch their child gain qualifications and maybe even win an award. All awards are voted on by the staff, examples of awards include- 'Best Junior Cadet', 'Bandsman of the Year' and 'Best Cadet'.

This year we had some spectacular winners, for example, Best Junior Cadet went to Leading Junior Alex Martin, Bandsman of the year went to Ordinary Cadet Liam Withe, and Best Senior Cadet went to Able Cadet Sarah Devaney- a worthy winner!  Also during the night, Able Cadet Connor Taylor gave a presentation on what the cadets have been up to in the past year, which also included a box of chocolates and champagne for all the staff to thank them for their efforts, yummy!!

All in all, it was a good night where parents got to see what their children have been doing whilst in cadets, and the cadets were rewarded for all their hard work over the past year, we hope everyone had a good night and a good year overall.

CO Award- 04/12/2016

We would like to say a massive congratulation to our very own Commanding Officer PO Withe on winning an award for being the best CO in the whole of the North West area. It came to a surprise for him, but we all know he's the best!

Annual Winter Ball- 26/11/2016

On Saturday we hosted our annual winter ball, which staff and cadets had been setting up for many days prior. As per, everyone had a great time and after sitting down for a nice meal, cooked by professional chefs, they all danced the night away, thanks to the DJ who provided everyone's favourite tunes.

We thank all the staff and committee members who volunteered to help on the night and everyone who helped set up, and also those who dragged themselves out of bed the next morning (with a sore head) to help clear up. The whole night was in aid of raising money and thanks to everyone's generosity, we now have the funds to cover next year's rent at out boating station, meaning the cadets can further their training and spend the sun on the water! We hope to see you all at future events,
