District Football Champions- 14/12/2014

District Football Champions- 14/12/2014

Well done to all of our teams who entered the very first Merseyside West District football competition today. We are very excited to report that all of our teams were placed and our senior boys team came away with gold medals, coming first place! As if this wasn't good enough Cadet 1st Class Marc Lee was names as Junior Boys Player of the Competition, a fantastic achievement. As well as bringing home a trophy this win also made an excellent first impression for our unit on the new district, something we only hope to build on in the future.

Annual Winter Ball- 06/12/2014

Annual Winter Ball- 06/12/2014

After days of preparation yesterday we opened the doors for our latest and greatest Annual Winter Ball. Guests, including friends and family of cadets and staff, were greeted to a red carpet and champagne, before sitting down to enjoy a meal and our (almost) famous live entertainment. After their food guests hit the dance floor, assisted by the occasional trip to the bar, and danced away to tunes provided by our DJ. After the many events preceding it this Ball had a lot to live up to, however the guests who managed to find their way back to their car told us they had a fantastic night, and the guests that weren't so lucky told us that our tables are actually a very good place to sleep!

Remembrance Day Parade- 09/11/2014

Remembrance Day Parade- 09/11/2014

A big well done to all the cadets and staff who paraded today in honour of Remembrance Day. The cadets, led by our marching band, headed a procession of war veterans and family of current servicemen from the Speke British Legion to the local church, where they formed a cenotaph guard and lay poppy wreaths in respect to the dead. Despite lower numbers than in previous years we believe this was more than made up for by the standard of dress and drill displayed by the cadets on parade, and indeed this was commented upon by several members of the public.
