Thank you for all who made today possible: not only did we have a decent sized fleet on the water, lots of cadets got to try sailing for the first time, we had a great BBQ and also managed to raise a lot of money! Just goes to show what great things TS Otter can do as a team

A beautiful weekend saw yet more success for TS Otter at the Power and Rowing Regatta at Lower Lode, Tewkesbury.  Saturday morning saw Tewkesbury Sea Cadets win the Power Boating competition followed by an excellent effort in the afternoon by the junior section, who came 5th overall.

Sunday continued to be an excellent day with sun shining and with 3 teams to enter the races there was a lot to do.  The Open girls won all of their races by a large margin and automatically went through to Area in Bristol in July.  The Junior girls also won their races, again by a good margin but were in a race off to see who would go through to Area.  Luckily our girls put in another brilliant effort and saw off the opposition without any problems.  The Junior boys team, didn't have quite so much luck, but put in an outstanding effort despite one of the team battling on with a nose bleed from a rogue oar .  We ended the day overall Regatta Runners Up with 3 teams off to the Area Competition on July 5th.  Well done everyone!

Fantastic results at the district kayaking competition at Hereford. 4 out of 4 Tewkesbury cadets through to the Area Competition in Bristol next month.  In addition the Unit scooped the trophy for overall Junior Boys Winners! Well done all!!!
