On Saturday the 19th of November, the Commanding Officer braved the apocalyptic weather to attend the Northern Area Conference at the Carnegie centre in Dunfermline. During the day, the Area Officer Commander - Gary Farmer - awarded a certificate of appreciation to our Training Officer, CPO Cameron who was delivering an Intermediate Drill training course to a group of Able Cadets at the Gordon Barracks in Aberdeen.
In June this year, CPO (SCC) Mark Cameron organsied and led an extremely successful Tri - Service Platinum Jubilee parade at the Gordon Barracks.
In attendance, were Sea Cadets of all ranks from across the Grampian District, as well as local representatives from businesses from across the City and Shire including the Harbour Master from the Port of Aberdeen, Alex McIntosh.
Commander Gary Farmer said CPO Cameron had demonstrated resilience and determination to re-establish firm foundations from which TS SCYLLA can flourish, making a significant impact in both the Grampian District and the wider Sea Cadet Experience.
The day's event was topped of by a Civic dinner at Aberdeen's Town House, hosted by the Lord Provost, David Cameron, again attended by representatives from the organisation's in attendance at the afteroon's parade.
