Volunteers’ Week

Volunteers’ Week

A massive thank you to our 9,000 volunteers who give up their free time to run their local unit, help on an offshore voyage, go on an international exchange or manage a whole range of activities across the corps from band to physical training to drill - to name a few examples! Many volunteer over 20 hours a week at their unit and give up weeks of annual leave to help out on camps and competitions, whilst having full time jobs and families.

Our volunteers are passionate and dedicated to delivering the Sea Cadet experience for young people to have the best possible head start in life.

THANK YOU from Sea Cadets!

03/08/2015

On Saturday 1 August, the new Sea Cadet flagship set sail with 24 cadets on her first ever voyage. This week marks a milestone for a ship whose story started five years ago, having been designed, built, launched and commissioned, TS Royalist is now ready to take 900 cadets a year on life-changing offshore adventures.

A huge thanks to everyone who made this happen, and wishing cadets on this this week fair winds and following seas!
