Remembrance Day 2024

Remembrance Day 2024

Thank you to every Cadet and Adult for the remarkable performance and excellent standard achieved. Everyone from the Mayor, veterans and serviceman were full of praise for the Band, Squad and Standard Bearer and Cadet Wreath layer. You should all be very proud, you did the unit and the Sea Cadet Corps proud. I was personally extremely proud of everyone of you and very humbled by the occasion. I can't begin to express in words what this meant to me personally, one of the very special occasions of my entire Sea Cadet life, thank you for giving me this special memory and opportunity to parade with you all. The Cadets and Adults at the unit have become a very special crew that I feel so very close to and proud to be part of. This was my last Remembrance Parade in an official capacity after almost 45 years, possibly your first or one of your first - keep this excellent standard up and enjoy the future ahead of you. I know that you will all remain a credit to yourselves and do the SCC and unit proud. You certainly made a veteran sea cadet (me) very touched, emotional and honoured today, thank you. There will lots of photos and footage added to this page / post soon.
