TS SCYLLA joins the nation to remember

TS SCYLLA joins the nation to remember

The cadets from Sea Cadets Aberdeen attended various services in the city but also conducted our own service at Pocra Quay. The cadets, as always, did themselves proud.

From Cadet Erin joining the Commanding Officer at the memorial in the city and to Junior Cadet Seefer who layed a wreath on behalf of the TS SCYLLA at the Dock workers memorial as they were joined also at the unit service by Councillors of the George Street and Harbour Ward, Commodore Bob Sanguinetti RN Rtd (CEO Port of Aberdeen) and Captain Ewan Rattray of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners.

BZ to all.

Kilt Walk Heroes stride out in support of Sea Cadets

''AND I WOULD WALK..." a long way in a kilt

Yes, that's what some of our adult members do for fun!

On the 29th of May, we were represented on the Aberdeen kilt walk by Krists, his Dad, and PO Denton who were all able to complete it whilst representing the unit.

We were there not only to support our fellow crew members and cadets but also as on-course stewards by handing out water and other refreshments. We were joined at Pitstop Number 5 along the walk by Bridge of Don Sea Cadets, and in the style of our typical Scottish weather, we had sun, wind, and rain but were all smiling through it.

This year saw a whopping 2300 walkers put their best foot forward and together raised over £924,000 for those most hard hit by the increasing cost of living.

BZ to everyone who took part in what was obviously a marathon effort at 26.2miles long! Ouch!
