OC Henry Clark receives a Certificate of Commendation from Yorkshire Ambulance Trust.
On the morning of Saturday 11th Oct, Henry was on his paper round with his older sister when they heard a call for help following a car crash very nearby. On arrival they came across an elderly male driver who had suffered a heart attack.
Whilst his older sister telephoned and dealt with the ambulance control, Henry and another adult member of the public lifted the casualty out of the car and proceeded to carry out CPR, taking it in turns to carry out compression's until the ambulance arrived.
Paramedic Gavin Doxey said after presenting Henry his Award ‘Henry carried out a tremendous act on the day. Along with his cadet First Aid training, his quick thinking helped to save a man’s life.’
A big Bravo Zulu to OC Henry Clark
