POC Adam was awarded BFBS Cadet of the week.
Well done to this weeks Cadet of the Week, POC Adam Vamplew. He was nominated by his CO, Caroline Devonport.
In November 2014 Adam was involved in a Motorcycle accident, he sustained a serious head injury and severe open fracture of his leg.
Adam had his leg repaired, including skin grafts and an external fixator attached (which he is likely to have to wear for around a year).
However within weeks of returning home from Hospital Adam was back in the unit assisting in training the unit Drill team for Area Drill Competition, for which he was guard commander (after some alterations had been made to allow his uniform to fit over his fixator).
Despite being in great pain at times, Adam has not let his injuries get in the way of his time at cadets. Adam certainly does personify the Corp Value of Commitment and Loyalty.
We think so too! Congratulations Adam!
