Three Cadets from the Unit went on the adventure of a lifetime, competing in the Tall Ships Race across the Baltic Sea. They flew to Copenhagen and joined the TS Royalist in Halmstad in Sweden. They then took part in Race 1, where they came First in their Class and second overall in the race. Losing out on a 6 day race by 7 minutes! They then had a stop in Tallinn in Estonia before sailing in to Kotka, Finland, for the crew parade and prize giving ceremony. After a couple of days enjoying the events, they then flew home from Helsinki.
The TS Royalist then continued to compete in the other two races with different crews of Cadets. They came second in race two and first in race three making them the winners overall of the Tall Ships Race.
