Gibraltar Cup

Gibraltar Cup

The Gibraltar Cup is an annual competition held between the six best Royal Marine Cadet detachments in the United Kingdom (decided by scoring detachments throughout the year), to determine the single best in the UK. And this year our marine detachment scored highly enough to enter.

This year's competition was held form the 1st to the 3rd of March and was comprised of various activities that tested the abilities of the cadets, including PT (Physical Training), Navigation, and Fieldcraft. Our team was pushed to their limits, but they pulled through and were able to win the competition, and Caterham is recognised as the best Marine Cadet detachment in the nation. Huge congratulations to all involved, with special recognition to be afforded to Sargeant Harrower, who also won the McCarroll Trophy, awarded by a judging panel for being the best Marine Cadet instructor in the country.
