Honoured guests that attended were Mr Hillier of Mostyn Estates, Mayors of Conwy and Llandudno and the Deputy and Mayor and Mayoress of Abergele, the President of the Royal Naval Association of Llandudno Mr Keith Bradley, just to name a few.

The evening saw a raffle that was organised by the unit's Parent's and Supporters Association, lots of great prizes were sought after.

On the evening guests were given information on the unit from a committee and charity perspective, accounts and cadet training.

The unit will continue to strive and work on developing the young individuals that we work with.

Thank you to the guests that took the time to attend, your support is greatly received.

Councillor Samantha Cotton was elected as the new Mayor of Conwy Town for the 2013/2014 office. Cllr Cotton has been an active member on our Unit Management Committee for many years and has kindly chosen us as one of her charities to fund-raise for.

As we had the new mayor from our UMC the staff unanimously voted Leading Cadet Davies to become the Mayor's Cadet. He will assist and attend Mayoral functions with the Mayor.

Bravo Zulu to both and good luck your duties.

Powering ahead with Champ!

Powering ahead with Champ!

The long refurbishment of our Cheverton Champ is now complete, with minor work to be finished. The Champ was launched by the Unit President, Boat Officer and Commanding Officer on Saturday 13th April at Deganwy Slipway.

The Champ took a small maiden voyage down Conwy River to the Quayside to see the Treasurer, Colin Logan, and returned to its mooring.

This is a huge step forward for our unit's boatwork training strategy.

Brava Zulu to all cadets and staff, past and present for their efforts over the three years.
