Titanic Memorial

Titanic Memorial

Along with the Merchant Navy Association of Dumfries, the Sea Cadets attended the memorial parade of the Titanic in Dock Park, Dumfries Town Centre. The memorial itself was raised to remember those from Dumfries who fell victim to the sinking of the ship. The cadets paraded and then laid a wreath alongside the Merchant Navy Association. Dumfries turned out well in large numbers for the event and the cadets represented well.

Police Station Visit

Police Station Visit

The Junior Cadets recently took a visit to our Dumfries Headquarters of Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary. The cadets learned lots of information about the powers of the police, what they do in our community and the wide area that they patrol as well as see some of their equipment! They will soon be taking a trip to Dumfries and Galloway Fire and Rescue station too.

Recruitment - March 2012

Recruitment - March 2012

Dumfries Sea Cadets held a recruitment stall on Saturday, 10th March 2012 in the Loreburne Centre. The loreburne Centre is the main shopping centre in the heart of Dumfries so we hope to attract as many new faces as possible to the unit. A large number of cadets turned up on the day, senior cadets and juniors, both looking very smart. Well done cadets!
