Due to current restrictions, Evesham Sea Cadets were unable to take part in any local face to face remembrance services or parade. However, our cadets over recent weeks have been creating displays for local supermarkets along with a display at Cavendish Park care home.

Along with our displays our cadets and volunteers stood on their doorsteps at 1100 on Remembrance Sunday to reflect and remember those who have served our country and for those who continue to serve.

We are delighted to welcome our newest addition to our boating fleet - a Trinity 500 rowing boat.

Thank you to local funders who have supported the purchase of this new boat which will see many cadets and volunteers participate in afloat activity.

We are delighted that restrictions have been lifted meaning that we were able to welcome our Ship's Company back on parade this week. The Unit Management Team have been working hard over recent weeks to enable the unit to obtain its covid secure status.

Seeing the cadets and volunteers return to face to face activity is fantastic and we hope to continue delivering safe sessions and seeing our team confidence continue to grow.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions meaning that we are unable to meet face to face, the Unit Management Team (UMT) have gained much needed local support to donate and contribute to the refurbishment of our unit interior. Due to the kind donations of local businesses along with the sponsorship support from Cavendish Park Care Home, we have been able to carry out much needed essential works and created a bright, clean and welcoming training space. This includes the Main Deck, Classrooms, Galley (Kitchen) and Gangways (corridors).

Very many thanks to all who supported this project in donations, volunteering and sponsorship. We now have a fantastic facility for our young people, volunteers and community organisations for many years to come.

Our Unit Management Team (UMT) are delighted to welcome the appointment of our new Commanding Officer.

Lieutenant (SCC) Craig Girling-Jones RNR joins us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Sea Cadets and we are excited to see the unit develop under his strong leadership.
