The Sea Sunday Parade this year took place on a very hot day, but as always, our cadets were a credit to their unit.

South West Area Sailing Regatta - 17th to 19th...
Cadets from our unit represented the South West Area Sea Cadets by travelling to Portsmouth to take part in this year's Sailing Regatta. The cadets performed really well with Leading Cadet Avard and Ordinary Cadet Frost winning the Bosun Class, and Leading Cadet Brown coming second in the Pico Class. This means that those three cadets are now entered for the Sea Cadet National Sailing Regatta. Well done to those cadets.
South West Area Area Combined Regatta - 11th...
In July, some of our cadets took part in the South West Area Combined Regatta where we entered three rowing teams. Our cadets performed well, with the results as follows:
Junior Boys - 6th Place
Junior Girls - 3rd Place
Open Boys - 3rd Place.
Coastal Sail Training - 26th to 28th June 2015
As we do most of our sailing at Stithians Lake, we thought it would be advantages to do some coastal sailing. During the weekend we had our more experience sailors attend and undertake some sailing at sea. Our aim was to sail to the Helford from Falmouth, but due to the wind direction we only made it as far as Castle Beach where we anchored for lunch. We then sailed back to the unit.
A great weekend was had by all.
Cornwall District Regatta - June 2015
On 14th June, the Cornwall District Regatta took place at Stithians Lake. The units from Cornwall can enter teams in the categories of Junior Boys, Senior Boys, Junior Girls and Senior Girls, and races take place between units in each category. The winners from each category then go onto the Southwest Area competition. Falmouth and Penryn Unit had a good day winning all the categories for which we entered. An excellent effort.
