September 2015 - The Winter Programme Commences

Following a great but very busy summer, we return to the unit in September to train for promotions & specialisations for the land based awards.

On our first night back, awards were given out to those who had gained qualifications in waterborne activities throughout the summer along with any qualifications gained from attending courses either water or land based and to present our medals gained at the regattas.

September 2015 - Annual Dawn 'til Dusk Fundraiser

September 2015 - Annual Dawn 'til Dusk Fundraiser

After a couple of false starts due to the weather, our Annual Dawn 'til Dusk Fundraiser took place in September this year. One of our biggest fundraising events which allows the cadets to sail, kayak, canoe and row to their hearts content whilst raising funds for the unit.

We also try to make this our Stewartby open to day to showcase what as an Adult volunteer or as a cadet you can be involved with during the summer months.

Thank you to all those who sponsored cadets.

Thank you to all the cadets who took part and didn't stop smiling from 06:42 to 19:08

Thank you to all the Staff, P&SA, UMT, TESCO Community Group and Parents who supported.

August 2015 - SUMMER CAMP

Summer Camp is one of the most looked forward to weeks away in our calendar.

Giving cadets and staff the chance to take part in lots of sailing activities on the sea which ordinarily they wouldn't have the chance to do, along with fun days out, barbecues and working with some of the staff at other Sea Cadet units.

Shaun the sheep will be very well remembered!!

A round up of the week can be found here:- Falmouth Summer Camp

July 2015 - Area Canoe Polo Competition

One of the relatively new competitions in Sea Cadets having been brought back last year after apx. 30 years away, we managed to take a Runners Up slot following our win from last year.
