Donation by RNA St Neots

All the cadets and staff at TS Cromwell would like to say a massive thank you to Mr Keith Ridley and Mr Tony Webley from the St Neots branch of the Royal Naval Association for their donation this evening. Mr Ridley presented us with a cheque this evening for £402 in memory of a fallen shipmate to enable one of our cadets to undertake an offshore voyage and a number of District Training Courses.

Donations such as these and that received from the Rotary Club are invaluable to our cadets as it enables them to undertake courses outside the unit one offshore.

Cadets took part in a number of training sessions this evening from basic knot work to Morse code to meteorology to navigation.

The cadets also spent time being questioned by and questioning the Captain

I would like to say that the cadets should be proud of themselves this evening and I am one very proud OIC. The cadets were all engaged in their learning and appeared to have a good night. Feedback from staff and visitors was exceptional.

I would also like to take this opportunity not only to welcome our new staff but also our new cadets who have joined us recently.

Keep up the good work and be proud of yourselves.

Next up is the URV on 29th March
