Congratulations to one of our leading cadets who has been selected as a Navy Board Cadet – one of six across the country. This prestigious role offers a rare insight into naval policy and the work of senior Royal Navy serving officers. This is the 2nd time a cadet from Huyton sea cadet unit has achieved the honour.
We have successfully completed the validation training to become an affiliated Children’s University Learning Destination. Our enrolled cadets whose schools are taking part in the program can now be credited for the learning they complete with our sea cadet unit. Please ensure you advise staff that you are participating in the scheme and bring in your learning passports to have your hours logged.
Following success at district football competition the Senior boys went on to win the North West area competition and are now busy training for the National competition in February 2016 when they take on teams from around the country. Well done team Huyton!

The unit enjoyed a weeks camp in Gibraltar. While here cadets experienced life living on a military establishment, sailed around the Mediterranean Sea, had fun at Spanish markets and zoo, relaxed at the beach And discovered the history of the rock, explored the military tunnels and made friends with The Barbary apes!!
