Annual Civic Service of Lord Mayor of Liverpool
Yesterday some of our cadets were invited to attend the Annual Civic Service of Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Peter Brennan at Our Lady and Saint Nicholas Church.
We had the opportunity to say “hello” to long-standing friends of TS Mersey; Lady Mayoress Sharon Sullivan and Dame Lorna Muirhead who are very supportive of the work we do at TS Mersey.
The new Lord Mayor becomes the President of TS Mersey; we look forward to working with you over the next year.
Summer afloat begins
Our boating season kicks off tomorrow evening at Crosby - be there by 6:15 in your boating kit ready to start for 6:30. Bring uniform as your dry change of clothes to get changed into. Check the weather and make sure you dress appropriately!
Mental Heath Awareness
Tonight some of our older cadets headed out for an evening with sports alive for a Mental Heath Awareness session. The topics covered included hate crime, knife crime, racism, religion and unrest between people of different cultures. It also focused on bullying and the detrimental effects on an individual, whilst raising awareness of suicide in young people. Thank you for the invitation, we look forward to working together again in the future.
