On Saturday 11th March Cadets & staff helped out with the slipway clear up which was organised & hosted by the Royal Naval Sailing Association (RNSA) Medway Branch.

Collecting flotsam & jetsum washed up on the slipway or blown into the bushes, using litterpickers or gloved hands, the team managed to amass quite a haul. RNSA members supplied refreshments to the eager attendees which included people from the hovercraft group, Maritime Volunteer Service, Royal Engineer's Yacht Club & RNSA.

Solo Round Britain Charity Walk

Solo Round Britain Charity Walk

To mark both her recent retirement from the Royal Naval Reserve and the Centenary year of women’s service in the Royal Navy, Commander Jane Allen is undertaking a 5,500 mile charity walk around the coast of mainland Britain. Jane’s walk aims to raise money for two important Naval charities - The Women's RNBT and RN/RM Charity.

After her exertions in the local area, Jane's husband Frank set up their mobile support unit at Medway Towns unit for a much needed overnight break on 4th January. Cdr Allen is pictured with her support vehicle, outside the unit's garage.
