Newcastle East Sea Cadets remains open throughout the school holidays and lots of our cadets took part in our boating weekend at our regional boating station on 15 & 16 August 2015. The boat station has amazing accommodation and catering facilities, so we took the opportunity to stay overnight which helped some of our cadets achieve rowing and power boat qualifications.

Our cadets were also able to complete their basic Camp Craft training following the overnight weekend at Kirkley Hall we enjoyed a few weeks ago.

Well done and congratulations to all our cadets who have progressed their training.

Some uniformed youth groups close during the school holidays...not us, we stay open regardless of the time of year! Stay active this summer with Newcastle East Sea Cadets and make more of your free time.

A huge thank you to the customers and staff at Asda in Byker who allowed us hold a bag pack in store on 27 June 2015. We raised a whopping £462.08 which will be put towards our fundraising efforts for our very own minibus. Our cadets and volunteers worked hard and their efforts have reaped rewards - thank you!

We were honoured to have been asked by The Children's Foundation to support their 25th anniversary celebrations at Kirkley Hall on 28 June 2015. We looked after the car parking and with 2,000 visitors - that was a lot of cars to park! It was a fantastic day and our cadets and volunteers worked very hard to ensure the success of this event. Well done!

Now we have moved to bigger premises, Newcastle East Sea Cadets can now recruit more 10 -18 year olds for nautical fun and adventure! With summer approaching and the boating season is now open, it's unlikely you'll ever be bored again!
