Last night we welcomed SLt Mary Spink RN from HMS Drake into the unit.

SLt Spink discussed life at BRNC with initial naval training, mental health services in the RN and the role of MH nurse in the RN. She took questions from cadets and also gave some career tips! Many thanks for coming in to deliver an interest talk!

BZ! All cadets from Plymouth (Drake) cadet that attended as well as, our staff that attended to support as instructional staff and admin staff. 

Today as an organisation we recognise all the women that are members of the Sea Cadet Corps (Sea Cadets UK).  From all, our Cadet Force Adult Volunteers be it Instructors, Unit Assistants (UAs) Unit Management Team Committee members  (UMT) or our occasional helpers. As well as, our cadets who continue to push to achieve new goals and experiences along the way.  

This evening as part of our Monthly unit divisions saw three of our New Entry Cadets (NECs) advanced to Cadet (CDT) rate, upon completion of their cadet training program (CTP). 

BZ! Well done to all of you. 

**SUPERSESSION OF UNIT EXECUTIVE OFFICER** 

This evening Sergeant (SCC) Sowter formally handed over his duties as the units Executive Officer (XO) to Sub Lieutenant (SCC) Adamson RNR. 

Sgt Sowter has been in post since April 21 and has been an asset to the unit. He will remain within the unit with a new focus on our Royal Marines Cadet detachment to be a senior leader within that team.

The entire unit thanks Sgt Sowter for his incredible effort and commitment as XO during his time in post. 

SLt Adamson who is stepping into the role has a wealth of experience both in-unit and the wider Corps and will be an asset going forward.
