On the 4th April TS Renown held it's Roayl Naval Parade, something that happens once every 2 years. This is an opportunity for the cadets to show off some of the skills they have been learning whilst at cadets. It is also an opportunity for the unit to show off it's facilities. We had a great turnout of VIP's and parents, which is always fantastic to see.
For Sea Cadets, this is the equivalent of an Ofsted Inspection, so a lot of work and preparation goes into making sure that everythig is shipshape. The volunteer staff have worked hard throughout the year to ensure that the cadets get the best possible expereinces, and the volunteer Unit Management Committee work hard to ensure that the building is in good repair and that the finances are in good order, the general running, maintenance and upgrading of facilities is undertaken in a well organised and planned manner.
We are always looking for new volunteer staff - no qualifications are necessary as there is plenty of opportunity to gain these along the way
We are in need of new members for the Unit Management Committee, so if you are retired, semi-retired or looking to find a fun volunteering role, pelase do get in touch
