It was a deeply moving moment as Ryde Sea Cadets, alongside the Army and Air Cadets, stood united to represent His Majesty's Armed Forces at the Presentation of the Book of Remembrance. This special book is dedicated to the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

This heartfelt initiative stemmed from a promise made to Gordon White, a cherished member of the Royal British Legion, who envisioned a Book of Remembrance but lacked the means to realize it. Thanks to Mr. Taylor's dedication, that promise has been fulfilled. Today, we honor Mr. White's legacy as his daughter accepted the book on his behalf.

With solemn reverence, the Book of Remembrance was entrusted to the Mayor by Ryde Town Council, serving as a poignant reminder of those who have gone before us. Let us never forget the valor and sacrifice of these individuals, as we continue to honor their memories in all acts of remembrance.

OC Tom & Cdt William were lucky enough to attend a national band week at HMS Raleigh, along with lots of other cadets from across the country. It was a great experience for the pair, who had a great time!

We were invited by the Isle of Wight NHS Trust to attend an open day held at the hospital to encourage and inform staff on all that is involved with becoming a volunteer with cadet forces and becoming a reservist for one of the Armed Forces. 

It was great to meet all those new people and spread awareness on what the Sea Cadets have to offer for staff as well as cadets! Plus we were joined by our friends at Cowes Sea Cadets :)

Yesterday evening we were invited to the Royal Marines Band Portsmouth performance at Medina Theatre.

It was a great show, and great turn out from both us and Cowes Sea Cadets!
