9 Cadets and Juniors took a trip to Bluewater on Saturday 14th March. Packing the bags for customers at Marks and Spencers and raising much needed funds for the unit
In total we collected £725.99 which is a great help in helping he unit to continue providing a varied and interesting cadet experience for the ships company.
Petty Officer Dave Friday who was in charge on the day said "all the cadets have worked really hard today and been a credit to their unit. The final total is a fantastic result and I am sure the Unit Management Committee will be pleased and we certainly hope to repeat the opportunity again."
Unit Chairman Ivor Riddell said "I would like to thank the three instructors PO Friday, PO Yaxley, PO Jackson and all the cadets who have worked really hard today. I would also like to thank Mrs Dawes who works for M&S for setting up the opportunity. We rely on these opportunities to keep the funds coming and keep the unit a safe and stimulating environment, as well as providing equipment and activities for the cadets."
