COMMODORE ATHERTON VISITS RVDBS

Commodore Martin Atherton Royal Navy, Regional Commander Eastern England paid a visit to Royal Victoria Dock Boating Station in his role as Southwark Unit President.

During his visit he met cadets from Southwark, Beckenham, Greenwich and city of London taking part in a range of afloat activities including rowing, sailing, power and paddlesports.

AFLOAT TRAINING

Southwark cadets are using training opportunities at Royal Victoria Dock Boating Station during the sum holidays and three are to attend the Dinghy Instructor Skills assessment at SCTC Weymouth in September.

PRUDENTIAL RIDE LONDON

Southwark Sea Cadet unit provided volunteer support to the Prudential Ride London.

Prudential RideLondon Freeycle offers a brilliant opportunity to get the whole family together to experience the fun and freedom of cycling on traffic-free roads in central London.

Next year's event will be held on Saturday 29 July 2017 ... be there!

Southwark Sea Cadet unit recruitment team were out in force in the local community with cadets attending the Ledbury Tenants and Residents Association  Summer fare just a short distance from the unit HQ.
