Southwark cadets were invited to attend the Millwall v Southend football match at the New Den in Bermondsey, a short distance from the unit HQ.
Supporting the Royal Navy attending to receive the AB Albert Mackenzie VC Trophy cadets lined the pitch for arrival of the players.
And the score ... Millwall 1 : 0 Southend.
A long day but a good second place for the Junior Sea Cadet team at London Area's 5-a-side football competition at Whitechapel.
Also well done to the senior girls team.
No one from Southwark at this years National event but plenty of time to practice and look forward to next year.

15 cadets supported the first competition of 2017, London Southern District 5 a side football.
The Junior Sea Cadet team finished in 1st place and will represent Southwark at the Area event on 22 January 2017.
The Junior boys team finished a close 2nd while other Southwark cadets did well in mixed teams.
