On 30th July 2013 Staines & Egham SCC had their RNP. With a lot of hard work and lots of training the evening was a great5 sucess! everyone was impressed with the performace of the cadets including our new Area Officer CDR Greene RN. I am please to announce that for the third year running we have been awarded a Burgee! This is fantastic and shows that Staines & Egham SCC really is a unit to watch in 2014! 

A massive thanks to Spelthorne Kayak & Canoe Club for holding a BCU 1 * course for our cadets on 6th April. A very sucessful course with all 10 attendes gaining their BCU 1 *. 

On 30th March Staines & Egham SCC went down to o9ur local saisnburys for a spot of bag packing. Thanks you to all of thoses who attended, it was definitly worth it as we raiswed well over £1000! 

Surrey District Drill Competition 2013 was Sunday 10th March 2013 and we had some fantastic results!
Junior Piping Team (consisting of LJC T Brightwell, JCFC H Taylor & JC L Lusso) came 1st!!! So very proud of you all, thank you for coming and representing the unit, and thanks to all your mums as they have also given up today to watch and support (it was Mothers Day after all).
AC K Brightwell & CDT G Mooney did us proud, unfortuantly neither placed, but some great experienced gained for them and there is ALWAYS next year!!!!

On Tuesday 18th December, our Cadets had their Christmas party, a full 3 course dinner served by the Adult Staff. Needless to say they very much enjoyed being waited on hand and foot and everyone seemed to enjoy the food. The Guest of honor was the new unit Chairperson Mrs Sinead Mooney and the Mess President AC Nina Ball gave a great introduction to her. Hopefully 2013 will be another great year for the ships company of T.S Thamesis.
