A selection of cadets undertook their basic swimming tests at Boundary Baths (Queens Park Leisure Centre) on the 3rd August 2011. The cadets who passed are as follows:

Some of the Cadets took part in an expedition weekend, led by PO(SCC) L.Simpson and other staff of which many of the cadets gained Basic Campcraft qualifications. Well done to all those who attended, to those staff who turned up in the blistering weather and walked many miles. Bravo Zulu.
St Helens took part in raising funds for both the unit and St.Barts School, St Helens. We managed to raise £205.13p. Thank you for all those who attended and helped raise funds for such a good cause.
St Helens attended the Strawberry Summer Fayre for the Church of St.Thomas and St. Marys to raise funds for the unit and for the church. We successfully raised £97.30. Well done to all those who attended and those who donated funds towards our causes. Thank you.
The District Pulling Competition was held at Knowsley Lake on the 5th June where all nine units took part in the Pulling/Rowing Competition. The cadets that were sent to represent St Helens Unit were:

The team came 3rd overall and the winning unit was Huyton. Well done to all the cadets who took part. A picture will be taken of the pulling team as soon as possible.
