Leading Cadet Duff has visited the Royal Navy Board this week in an important meeting outlining this years plan of activities. More details to follow in time.
This is the first time that TS Scimitar has had a Navy Board Cadet. Very exciting times indeed.
The North West Area Football Team came overall winners at the National Football Competition 2015. Two Scimitar cadets were part of this winning team - MC Keira Neild & MC Ashleigh Flaherty. Bravo Zulu for their team effort.
Kettle Time...
Everyday we pass someone who we may not know who need help. At cadets we have already participated in a number of food bank appeals. Trussell Trust (St Helens) have told us of their urgent need of coffee so as our cadet community module we have decided to boost this appeal. With this in mind we are asking all cadets to bring a Jar of Coffee into the unit and share this message with our friends and family.
Trussell Fund:
This gives 3 days emergency food to struggling people & families.

CDTs of TS Scimitar
We received notification from SC HQ that OC Adam Johnson has been selected for the International Exchange to Bermuda in July 2015. This is a first for TS Scimitar to have a cadet on the International Exchange Programme.
The programme enables cadets to learn about new cultures and participate in a variety of activities whilst discovering friends, fun and adventure in a completely new country and environment.
We congratulate OC Adam Johnson on making it this far and we will keep you updated.
