Charlies Angels Kitchen

Over the 19th and 26th September 2024 younger members of the Ships Company visited Charlie's Angels Kitchen which is located just around the corner from our headquarters on Albion Road.

The business, which specialises in sustainable food usage and minimising food waste to help the local community and Charlie gave our cadets a feel for her passion and knowledge in this area.

Thank you to Charlie for her time over these tow dates which have been really appreciated by our cadets.

Army Engagement Team Visit

Army Engagement Team Visit

Tuesday 24th September saw the Army's Engagement Leadership Team visit the unit where all the cadets were kept occupied with a variety of tasks to enhance leadership and teamwork ethics.  This was followed by an update on how the modern British Army operates.

Well done to our team of sailors who spent Saturday 21st September completing the final elements of their RYA Dinghy Sailing qualifications.

These qualifications are internationally recognised outside of the Sea Cadet Corps so a massive BZ to them

The Battle of Trafalgar - by Dr Martin Watts

Thursday 3rd October 2024 at 1915hrs
Come at join us at Bewl Water as Dr Martin Watts, a form Merchant Navy Officer and a University Lecturer provides a talk on The Battle of Trafalgar.
His presentation will not only look at the battle itself, but it's further impact on the Royal Navy and Royal Marines and the Nation as a whole at that time.


We can be in no doubt that the Battle of Trafalgar - which ur cadets will be celebrating the 219th anniversary of at the District Parade on 20th October in Chatham Dockyard where HMS Victory was built - is the most famous for the Royal Navy.


Light refreshments will be on sale before at after the presentation.

Calendar Art Competition

Throughout the year our press officer has been collating photos of cadets undertaking various activities and will be publishing a Unit Calendar for sale.

The month of December is in the hands of of cadets.  They can enter their own design which must be nautical and Christmas themed drawing on A4 paper.

Closing date is 5th September and entries to be submitted to admin@tsBrilliant.org.uk
