Unit Flood - Temporary New Meeting Place

Unit Flood

Due to the Flooding experienced along the river Calder over the Christmas period we are currently unable to use our unit building. We have managed to secure an alternative place to meet temporarily until we are able to return.

We will be using the facilities at Standbridge Lane Community Centre for the next few weeks, if you are able to go directly there that would be greatly appreciated however if you are unable, to we will be able to transport cadets from the unit on Thornes Lane to the SLCC using the minibus.

Any queries please email the unit email address.

HMS Trincomalee Visit

A lucky group of Wakefield Cadets were fortunate enough to be able to visit HMS Trincomalee in Hartlepool earlier this month.

HMS Trincomalee is a Royal Navy Leda-class sailing frigate built shortly following the end of the Napoleonic Wars. She is now restored as a museum ship in Hartlepool.
