Saturday 27th September saw our unit take to the virtual track, as the unit hosted it's annual race night in support of TS Falcon. During the evening, local businesses and individuals sponsored races, horses and jockeys, as well as having the occasional flutter on a race.
The UMC, Staff and Cadets would like to thank everyone that attended, and we are delighted to announce that we raised over £1700 to support the unit in the coming year.
TS Falcon was proud to support the local Royal British Legion's Picnic in the Park event. This important event allowed the unit to pay it's respects to fallen soldiers of the first World War, and to have a great afternoon in the town park too.
The unit ran it's recruitment stall, and sold more of our well known mugs. These are available for £2.50, wherever you see us with a stall.
TS Falcon was proud to support the local Royal British Legion at the Rose Fair. The RBL float commemorated the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.
Cadets aided in collections for the RBL, and took part on the float too.
The unit supported the Wisbech Yacht Harbour's open day. This year, cadets greeted the public s they arrived, as well as running a tombola event on our recruiting stall.
We met a lot of the local town, and gave out some fabulous (and not so fabulous) prizes too!
Wisbech Sea Cadets held their annual inspection and presentation of awards on Thursday at the TS Falcon headquarters in Sandyland.
Guest of honour was the area commander Charles Bagot Jewitt DL RN who inspected the cadets and presented the awards. Also attending was Wisbech deputy mayor Samantha Hoy, parents and representatives from various groups and organisations. The cadets, aged ten to 18, demonstrated a range of their skills from a heaving line presentation, showing how to throw the heaving line to land in a small basket, through to First Aid and a cookery demonstration by the junior section.
The parade is the final part of the Unit’s annual efficiency and authority to train inspection.

Drill and Ceremonial Award - Able Cadet Ian Mattless.
Boatwork Award - Able Cadet Daniel Blackwell.
1st Lieutenant Award - Leading Cadet Tony Moore.
Cadet of the Year Award - Leading Cadet Kirsty Jauncey.
A special award for service to Wisbech Sea Cadets went to Lieutenant(SCC) Andrew Foster Royal Naval Reserve who, after taking Command of the Sea Cadets in 2001, stood down as Commanding Officer in January. His partner, Kathleen Green, also received a presentation of thanks.
The Unit received its Efficiency award for 2012 accepted by Lieutenant(SCC) Andrew Foster, Able Cadet Daniel Blackwell and Ordinary Cadet Barnaby Gray.
The event was followed by a buffet prepared by the Parents and Supporters’ Association.
