November 2015 – Area Swimming Competition

November 2015 – Area Swimming Competition

On Sunday 22nd November the District travelled to HMS Temeraire to join other cadets from across Southern Area who were taking part in the annual Area Swimming competition. The District team included our own MC2 Crampton, who came a very respectable second place in her race (beaten by 0.5 of a second).  Very well done and we are already looking forward to next year’s competition.

November 2015 – Remembrance Day Service and...

On Sunday 8th November, the ship’s company was proud to join the annual Remembrance Sunday service held in Aylesbury’s Market Square, to remember and honour those who have sacrificed their lives in the two world wars and many other conflicts.

Many Veterans attended this years’ service, along with contingents from both the Armed and Cadet forces.  The service was very well attended by the public and all those in attendance fell silent at 11am to remember those who sacrificed so much before wreaths were laid at the war memorial.

Following the service all those on parade marched round the square to the applause of the crowd.
