7 Cadets and 2 Members of Staff travelled down to Lincolnshire for the National 5 a Side football competition on the weekend of 21st to 23rd February 2014. The team consisting of: POC Maclean; LC Creighton; LC O'Brien H, LC O'Brien T, AC Ewing, AC Baron, Cdt 1st Class Ross; competed against teams from all over the UK and Northern Ireland. The team came 6th Overall, which means that are the 6th Best team in the UK!! 

Overall, the North West Area came 3rd Overall! 

BZ to the Senior Boys team and the rest of the North West Area.

After an early morning the Junior and Senior Boys headed off for the Northwest 5-a-side competition, this time time not only representing Barrow unit, but Cumbria District. This means that they will face 7 other teams from the other districts within the NW Area.

The Senior Boys came 1st overall, after playing some tense games and the Junior boys came 5th, again having played difficult games. Also, our Cumbrian counterparts in the Senior Girls came 1st.

They now go on to the national competition which is due to take place on the 21st-23rd February 2013.

The Xmas Break is over and the first parade night back is the 7th January 2014! Here are the upcoming events in January and February!

On the days leading to Christmas most people were out shopping, preparing food or just relaxing whilst off school/work. Not for Barrow Sea Cadets. On the 22nd, 23rd and 24th December the group of juniors  undertook a bag pack at Iceland. This was a massive success and the same is hoped for next year.
