An awards evening was held on 8th February 2013 in recognition of all the cadets’ activities and achievements in 2012.
It was a great opportunity to celebrate the success of the cadets who have made a significant contribution to the unit and have worked extremely hard over the last twelve months. It was well attended by parents and supporters of the unit.

Unit closed
Due to damage to drain pipes along the drive to the Sea Cadet Unit, we will not be returning until Wednesday 9th January 2013.
District Drill and Piping Competition
This year’s District Drill and Piping Competition was held at Dunstable unit on Sunday 16th December 2012.
Dunstable were joined by squads from Biggleswade, Flitwick & Ampthill and Luton units.
Dunstable were runner up in the unarmed squad and LC Brookes-Lampard J. was the winner of squad commander.
Remembrance Parade Sunday 11th November 2012
The cadets marched from Grove House Gardens to the War Memorial in Priory Gardens as part of Dunstable’s Remembrance Parade. The Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony took place at the memorial at 11am. A short Remembrance service was then held in Priory Church.
Summer Camp next year
We are planning to have our Summer Camp in Scotland next year at HMS Caledonia, near Rosyth Naval Base. This will be in the first week in August 2013.
We are asking for cadets to register their interest in going on the camp, we have 20 places. These places need to be secured with a £10 deposit before 23rd November 2012.
