TRIP TO CHATEAU DE CHANTEREINE

14 Cadets from all over UK, including 3 from Fishguard :- Elin Thomas, Nia Evans and Theo Owen took part in an exchange programme to France to discover and experience what life was like in the trenches of World War 1.

Based at Kingswood’s Château de Chantereine, located in the village of Criel-sur-Mer. France

The cadets had the opportunity to visit various museums, each telling a story of the Great War and the people involved.  It wasn’t only museums cadets had the opportunity to visit, activities included historical tours and some truly amazing buildings steeped in history.

The evenings had a range of exciting sessions from archery, fencing to team tech and the trail of mystery. There was even the chance to tuck into some tradition French cuisine, whilst the snails weren’t every body’s cup of tea, the frog’s legs were popular.
