On Saturday 11th August Fishguard Sea Cadets once gaianed helped the RNLI with their Annual Duck Race in conjunction with their Open Night. After all the good weather it was a very unpleasant day with the Rain and Winds, but the cadets spririts remained high and they all went in to the River in Lower Town with lots of enthusiasm. MV Corinthian Ship Visit

MV Corinthian Ship Visit

On 27th July we had the pleasure of being invited on board the cruise ship MV Corinthian. This is the 3rd year of our association with the Corinthian.

We had been invited to have a tour of ship, cadets to talk to the passengers and Ordinary Cadet Mia played the Piano for the 100 passengers on board. This was fantastic!

Fishguard Sea Cadets took the opportunity to present the Captain with a Fishguard Sea Cadets Unit Crest, which he was delighted to accept, in appreciation of the Corinthian's association with Fishguard Sea Cadets

The highlight was the engine room tour by the Chief Engineer, he really took the time with the cadets.

The cadets did a great job talking to the passengers about who they are and what they do in Sea Cadets and it was a great opportunity to meet new people and develop their communication skills.

The cadets were a credit to the unit and should be very proud of themselves.

We would like to thank the Captain, Officers and Crew for their hospitality and also Grand Circle Cruise Line for allowing us on board and finally to Sue Blanchard Williams the Port Agent for organising everything.
