5 Cadets joined HMS Bulwark (Flagship of the Royal Navy) down in Weymouth for 3 days, living, eating and accommodating onboard alongside Royal Navy Sailors and Royal Marines Commandos. HMS Bulwark is the Olympic Guardship for the Sailing Events happening in the Weymouth Area.

HMS Bristol Summer Camp - August 2012
5 Cadets joined 300 [ersonnel from around the Area at the Eastern Area Summer Camp. The cadets were accommodated on Royal Navy Destroyer, HMS Bristol. HMS Bristol served in the Cold War and Falkands War. Cadets took part in Sailing, Powerboating, Chartwork, Communication Information Systems, Cook/Steward and Seamanship Courses.
A great experience for all who attended together with gaining qualifications and awards.

As a bonus, Bedfordshire District Sea Cadets won the Overall Regatta Trophy also!
Area Sailing Regatta - June 2012
Congratulations go out to OC B Dunham on representing Bedfordshire District at the Area Sailing Regatta. OC Dunham competed in the Laser Pico Class and Came 4th out of 14 entries.

Queens Diamond Jubilee Parade - June 2012
Cadets from Flitwick & Ampthill Unit formed an Armed Guard, under the command of Petty Officer (SCC) J Blackstaffe and Unarmed Platoon, under the command of Petty Officer (SCC) L Bettle. The parade was formed of local Youth Organisations from around the area to celebrate our Patrons', HM The Queen, Diamond Jubilee.
