The third and final District Advancement Board of the year was held at Long Eaton uni on the 2nd-4th December.
In attendance were LC Palmer, AC Sarricchio, AC Matthews and AC Sills. SLt (SCC) Crump RNR assisted with the board and PO (SCC) Carter was also helping.
LC Palmer received a partial pass and will be reassessed at Worksop unit in the new year, along with AC Sills who also received a partial.
AC Sarricchio passed and AC Matthews gained a credit pass.

In November two weekends were put on to provide a chance for cadets in the District to gain second class qualifications. The first weekend was held at Chesterfield unit and the second at Mansfield.
On the 13th November, 4 cadets (LC Pooler, OC Vaites, CDT Lettinga and CDT Collins) went to SCTC Raleigh for a Naval Acquaint course, where they experienced lots of new things including fire fighting and sea survival. For some of the cadets it was their first time on a National Course away from home, but all cadets came back with certificates and a big grin on their face!
This year, Nottingham Unit took part in the Remembrance Day Parade on the Embankment in Nottingham. There was a fantastic turn out from the cadets who had spent some of the weekend adding the final touches to their uniforms and also learning about why we remember.
APO (SCC) J Hunsley carried the standard for the unit and was featured on the front page of the Nottingham Post.
Nottingham is very lucky to have a dedicated Parents and Supporters' Association, who often put on special events for the cadets.
This year a Halloween Party was held on the 3rd November with prizes for the best costumes. A disco and buffet was also provided.
