SEA CADETS - NEW ON-LINE SHOP

In the latest of new developments for Sea Cadets, the on-line shop is now open for business.

Selling a number of new clothing items for Sea Cadets and volunteers including the option to customise them with a unit crest or name. Also available for purchase are existing items like badges, boat parts and other accessories.

This new service is provided by Sea Cadets Stores, who normally provide a mail order service but have decided to enter the world of e-commerce following a recent review of products and services offered.

The shop has been launched with a limited range of items initially, this will increase throughout the year with the introduction of Royal Marines Cadets branded items and further accessories.

It couldn’t be simpler to sign up, all you need is an email address to create an account, set up a password and you’re ready to shop.

Payment is easy too; we accept PayPal, credit / debit cards, cheques made payable to Marine Society & Sea Cadets or, on collection from stores.

SEA CADETS FIVE-A-SIDE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS -...

North-West are FIVE-a-SIDE Foorball Champions!

Teams from all over the country travelled to Gosport to compete in the four classes - Junior Girls, Junior Boys, Senior Girls and Senior Boys - for the National 5-a-side, with the ultimate goal of returning with the Lord Burnham Trophy awarded to the winning area.

The atmosphere was competitive but friendly as teams cheered each other on. Eastern Area took the Wilmott Cup for the Senior Girls, OC A Gregory from London Area, OC G Phillips from Northern Ireland and OC M Watt from Northern Ireland took player of the match for Junior Girls, Senior Girls and Junior Boys respectively.

However, the overwhelming winners were North West Area who took the Wain Cup for Junior Girls home with them, the Ganges Cup for Junior Boys, the Guinness Cup for Senior Boys and the Lord Burnham Trophy for overall winning area, as well as Cpl C Woods winning player of the match in the Senior Boys competition.

CSC, Captain Mark Windsor Royal Navy, took to the pitch in a friendly match along with two Area Officers.

Congratulations go out to all the cadets who showed great sportsmanship throughout and to the volunteers and staff who worked behind the scenes, making the event run smoothly.

The banners are displayed to the exterior of the recently refurbished Headquarter buildings at 16 Dunluce Avenue, Portrush, BT56 8DW and, Coleraine Marina - where cadets and adult volunteers train; rowing in the three new TRINITY 500's, sailing, canoeing and power-boating in the two new Rigiflex boats: centre console and tiller.

A BUSY DAY PLACING THE 'N' INTO NAUTICAL . . . . . . DECORATING THE 'DECK' WITH ROYAL NAVY HISTORY

Cadets and Adult Volunteer staff worked all weekend - 10th and 11th. March 2012, washing, cleaning and fixing over one hundred crests, plaques and shields from various Royal Navy ships, memorabilia of HMS DUKE OF YORK was looked after with special care and attention.
