Sunday 10th November 2013 ~ Remembrance Day Parade
Scarborough Sea cadets will be marching through Scarborough old town from Queen Street Methodist Central Hall to the Life Boat Station for Scarborough's Annual Remembrance Parade on the Foreshore.
This is one of the most important dates in the Scarborough Sea Cadet callendar and also the best attended.
On Sunday 3rd November the Cadets will be taking part in the 'Planting of the Crosses' at the Garden of Remembrance, in Alma Square, Scarborough.
This is an annual event the Cadets take part in to signify the start of the week of Remembrance and to march through the town centre with the Band and members of the Royal British Legion.
Lord Lieutenants Cadet - Prestigious honour for...
Leading Cadet Ben Robinson has been awarded the prestigious appointment of 'Lord Lieutenants Cadet' - The highest honour in Cadets, in recognition of his outstanding service in the Sea Cadet Corp, in Scarborough.
The certificate was presented to L/C Robinson (16), by Lord Crathorne, Lord Lieutenant for North Yorkshire, at a ceremony held at R.A.F Linton-on-Ouse, on Thursday 19th September 2013.
The accolade means that L/C Robinson now holds the position of Lord Lieutenants Cadet for North Yorkshire for one year.
