Scarborough Sea 'Cadets 'Big-Build' Website now...

Scarborough Sea Cadets are pleased to announce the launch of our new website for the 'Big Build Project'. In addition to our official website, we have created a new location where you can log-on and see what we are aiming to achieve in our buildings next to our Unit in East Sandgate.

These are exciting times for T.S. Scarborough and the people of the town.

The website will be continuously updated with plans, pictures and information as the project develops.  It will also show what events are being planned, (meetings, 'meet the team' etc), so that the whole of the Local Community can feel part of this exciting project, as well as showing how everyone can get involved.  Please take the time to pay us a visit and remember to keep coming back for updates.  Hope you enjoy the site, your feedback would be very much appreciated.

****191 Miles covered!! *****SSC Row-Athon...

Last Saturday (19th April) was the Scarborough Sea Cadets Annual Row-Athon.

Cadets and Staff were outside of the Life Boat Centre on the Foreshore from 09:00 until 19:00 in an attempt to 'Row' the distance from Scarborough to Felixstowe (154 miles).  The team managed a fantastic 191 Miles.  T.S. Scarborough is the most Northern Sea Cadet Unit in Eastern Division and Felixstowe is the most Southern.  It is a huge area we cover and to row the distance in one day was quite an achievement.

All of the money raise will be for the benefit of Scarborough Sea Cadets.

Cadets were getting sponsorship from friends and family and members of the public were able to pop a few coins' into the collection buckets on the day.  A total amount will be confirmed later. The cadet who raised the most money will win a free Cadet Course of their choice.  So 'Thank You' for supporting the Cadets so generously.

Sea Cadets Bag Pack - Morrisons Saturday 5th...

Scarborough Sea Cadets had a very successful  'Bag Pack day' at Morrison's Super store on Saturday 5th April in Eastfield.  P.O Natalie Davies was accompanied by Cadets & Staff throughout the day raising valuable funds for the Unit. We raised over £1,160 thanks to the very generous support of Morrison's and their customers.  There were plenty of enquiries regarding potential new Cadet opportunities and there were many comments regarding how good the Cadets looked and their positive attitudes.  Even some ex-Navy members and ex-Cadets also made a point to acknowledge how impressed they were. So again a very big 'Thank You' to Morrison's and all their Customers. BZ
